BostonGene Announces Strategic Collaboration to Optimize Treatment Sequencing and Patient Tolerability in Multiple Myeloma

Collaboration with Johnson & Johnson integrates BostonGene’s AI foundation model, digital twins and CLIA/CAP-accredited laboratories aim to guide future treatment strategies

BostonGene, developer of the leading AI foundation model for tumor and immune biology, today announced a strategic collaboration with Johnson & Johnson (Janssen Research & Development, LLC.), to address the most pressing challenge in multiple myeloma therapy: optimal sequencing of therapies to enable the safest and most effective treatment regimens.

The collaboration will leverage BostonGene’s comprehensive solution, integrating omnimodal profiling, immune system characterization, and advanced bioinformatics, supported by CLIA/CAP-accredited laboratory capabilities to align efforts by both companies towards better patient outcomes. BostonGene’s pretrained AI foundation model of cancer and the immune system will be applied to generate digital twins of individual patients, enabling prognostic simulations of therapeutic responses. By integrating dry-lab computational modeling and wet-lab data generation, the collaboration will deliver actionable insights into optimal therapeutic sequencing while independently identifying strategies to minimize adverse events.

“This collaboration marks a key advancement in making treatment decisions more precise, while also aiming to lower the incidence of adverse events,” said Nathan Fowler, MD, Chief Medical Officer at BostonGene. “By deploying our AI foundation model and digital twin technology, supported by our wet and dry lab unique computational capabilities, we can generate unprecedented insights into how patients will respond to therapy. The ultimate goal is to empower clinicians to select the optimal sequence of treatments with improved safety and outcomes.”
